Instabilities in SolidsGeneralThe structural stability of many materials has important implications for their properties and applications, and may be investigated at the electronic, atomic or microstructural level. In this group, we investigate the static and dynamic structural properties of metallic and ceramic superconductors, zirconica-based ceramics, shape-memory alloys and other metallic alloys.
